Online WaitingList Form
Asalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu
Prospective students can be added to our Waiting List from the age of 2 years old, although please note that students are not eligible to join Al Barakah School until the September after they turn 4 years old.
A separate Waiting List Form must be filled out for each prospective student.
Admissions are conducted throughout the academic year. Offers of a school place for Classes 1-10 are conditional upon a brief and informal assessment to check the prospective student's Arabic alphabet / Qur’an reading level. Where students who wish to join the school are not quite at the level required, we recommend that they catch up at home with a parent or tutor before being able to join. Please note that there is no assessment requirement for students joining our Reception Class, or as part of the Class 1 intake in September; assessments will be undertaken for students joining mid-year (October onwards) in Class 1, and for students who wish to join Classes 2-10.
The Waiting List fee is non-refundable. The fee is £12 for the first applicant; thereafter there is a discounted fee of £6 for each subsequent sibling application (this includes prospective students that have a sibling who is already on the Waiting List or who is currently attending, or has previously attended, Al Barakah School). Students will not be added to the Waiting List until the relevant fee is paid.
This fee covers all the correspondence and administrative procedures relating to adding a prospective student to our Waiting List, maintaining their place on the list and subsequent admission to Al Barakah School, including offering places and arranging assessments. Please note that a lack of response to our emails offering school places, or failure to attend an assessment appointment without notice, takes up valuable administrative time and effort and may result in your child's name being removed from the Waiting List.
Payment can be made via the following link:
First child (£12) - https://pay.gocardless.com/BRT0003CESMS1J3
Second or subsequent child (£6) - https://pay.gocardless.com/BRT0003CESV6A9S
Payment can also be made by cash or card at school reception (on term-time Saturdays).
Students interested in joining Class 11 'Beyond Al Barakah' or any of our Adult Classes DO NOT need to complete a Waiting List Form but must complete a registration form. There is no assessment requirement for students joining Class 11 or our Adult Classes.
Please note that we cannot guarantee exactly when a school place might become available or the length of time it may take to offer a place, as this depends on a current student vacating their place. At present, there is a waiting time of up to 12 - 18 months from the application date (fee payment date).
Note: Please notify us if any of your/your child's details change. Please provide a personal email address rather than a work email address if possible.
For updates about your child's position on our Waiting List, assessment requirements for your child's eligible class or any other queries,
please email admissions@albakarah.co.uk.
JazakAllahkhair.
